Teens in Action (TIA) achieves its mission by concentrating on three health indicators affecting the development of youth in the area. These indicators are: Increased Physical Activities, Healthy Sexual Attitudes and Substance Abuse Prevention. The organization achieved progress in each of these areas through the Inauguration of the skate park in Ysleta Park, the Grand Opening of the new Teens in Action youth center, that has been successful day to day operation of this facility. A vibrant Youth Council in conjunction with parent volunteers conducts rock shows, teen nights, health fairs, food baskets for the low income families, and other activities and training relating to youth healthy development.
